Provided are a method of performing a user input by using a mobile device and a mobile device. The method includes: receiving a first user input of bending the mobile device in correspondence with a first threshold value; photographing an object in an actual space by using a camera included in the mobile device, as the first user input is received; displaying an object image of the photographed object on a screen of the mobile device; and providing a service related to the object image of the photographed object, from among services of an application installed on the mobile device.
