An acceleration detecting unit in an embodiment of a train control device according to this invention detects an acceleration in the direction of a radius of rotation, when a train passes through a curved section of track provided with a cant, while turning. By this means, a train control unit sets the transit speed of the train, on the basis of the orientation of the detected acceleration, in such a way that a balanced cant is approached when the train passes through the curved section, and it is therefore possible to alleviate deteriorations in ride comfort caused by the shape of the track, resulting from a curve or a gradient, for example, or caused by breaks in the track when passing through points, or caused by changes in acceleration accompanying a speed change such as an increase or decrease in the speed of the carriage. |
