PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to improve the accuracy in detecting the amount of developer by using a stirring member and electrodes provided inside a developer storage chamber.SOLUTION: A developer container comprises a storage chamber 147 that includes an opening 145 and stores developer, a stirring member 160 that includes a sheet-like stirring part 160b and a rotation shaft 160a to which the stirring part 160b is attached, and a first electrode 143 and a second electrode 144 that are used for detecting the amount of developer and arranged at an interval. An area X1 between the first electrode 143 and the second electrode 144 in the storage chamber 147 is located below the rotation shaft 160a of the stirring member 160, and the sheet-like stirring part 160b is brought into contact with the area X1 through rotation of the stirring member 160.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
