1. An image processing apparatus that performs correction for removing an object from a face image, which is an image including a face of a person, the image processing apparatus comprising:
an image acquiring unit configured to acquire the face image; a representative-pixel-value determining unit configured to determine a representative pixel value, which is a pixel value representing a skin region, on the basis of pixels included in the face image; a region generating unit configured to generate a first region, which is a region including the object; a correction-pixel determining unit configured to determine correction pixels, which are one or more pixels used for the correction, out of a plurality of pixels present in a vicinity of the first region, on the basis of similarity to the representative pixel value; a partial-image generating unit configured to generate a partial image, which is a collection of pixels for replacing pixels corresponding to the object, using the correction pixels; and a correcting unit configured to perform correction by combining the partial image with the face image. |
