<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide band antenna system including a radiation conductor in the form of a flat plate and miniaturized with a low attitude (low height) suitable for being incorporated in equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The wide band antenna system includes a conducting ground plate 1, on which a three-dimensional member 3 is arranged. A radiating conductor 2 is stuck or printed on the three-dimensional member 3 in such a manner that at least part of the radiating conductor 2 is opposite to at least part of the ground plate 1. A wavelength shortening effect is achieved by the interposition of the three-dimensional member 3 between the opposite parts of ground plate 1 and radiating conductor 2.
