PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber insulator which suppresses occurrence of electric insulation breakdown, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A rubber insulator 10 includes: a cylindrical inner electrode layer 20 covering an outer periphery of a conductor connection part 92 of a power cable 90; a reinforcing insulation layer 30 which is provided so as to cover an entire outer periphery of the inner electrode layer; and an outer conductive layer 40 which is provided in an outer periphery of the reinforcing insulation layer. A cross section of a center hole 21 in the inner electrode layer is formed polygonal, thereby securing a suction path for evacuation when filling a metal mold 60 with an insulation rubber material of the reinforcing insulation layer 30. Thus, spreading of the insulation rubber material around the inner electrode layer 20 is prevented from being lacked, and generation of a void or a gap that may cause electric insulation breakdown can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
