PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rigidity of a housing for housing a pinion shaft thereby inhibiting deformation of the pinion shaft.SOLUTION: A steering device of the invention includes: an electric motor which applies an assist force for steering of a steering section; a worm wheel 43 to which a driving force from the electric motor is transmitted; a pinion shaft to which the worm wheel 43 is attached; a second bearing 36 which rotatably supports the pinion shaft; a rack shaft which engages with a pinion while being pressed against the pinion of the pinion shaft; a pinion housing 31P which covers the pinion shaft; and multiple ribs 32 which extend from the second bearing 36 side toward the worm wheel 43 side on an outer surface of the pinion housing 31P. The multiple ribs 32 are arranged so that a distance between radial outer side top parts 32P of the respective ribs 32 becomes longer at the worm wheel 43 side than at the second bearing 36 side. |
