A rechargeable battery module includes: a plurality of unit cells (100), wherein each of the unit cells (100) comprises: an electrode assembly (110) in a plate shape; a case (120) receiving the electrode assembly (110) and having an opening at one side; and a cap assembly (130) sealing the opening of the case (120), wherein the case (120) comprises a first buffer unit (123) configured to reduce a force generated inside or outside the unit cell (100) on an inner surface and an outer surface of a bottom of the case (120), the cap assembly (130) comprises a second buffer unit (133) configured to reduce a force generated inside or outside the unit cell (100) on an inner surface and an outer surface of the cap assembly (130), and the first buffer unit (123) of each unit cells (100) partially overlaps the first buffer unit () of a neighboring unit cell (100).
