<p>The electric pushbutton switch has a hollow body containing two contacts, fixed and insulated from each other, and a movable contact carrier. A cam mechanism controls the position of the carrier. The mechanism includes a catch peg fastened axially in the hollow body, but movable sideways with respect to it. A guide plate is attached to the movable contact carrier for cooperation with the peg. It is retained by a catch and an oblique track on the movable contact carrier, and determines the switch contacts' position. The switch also includes an indicator light inside the pushbutton.</p> |
