The shaft of a ball racket, especially a tennis or squash racket, has a handle at one end and two gripper arms which form a fork at the other end, and which hold in a replaceable fashion a frame which serves to accommodate the strings which form the striking surface. The frame and the gripper arms which are pretensioned and bear on the frame with their entire length, positively engage with one another and the handle is releasably fastened onto the shaft. <IMAGE>
