Ionisation flame sensor

An ionisation flame sensor to which an AC voltage signal can be applied which is rectified by the flame, the DC voltage signal being used for operating a detector circuit. In this case, the DC voltage signal which is produced by the ionisation is converted by the detector circuit (10) into an AC voltage signal at a frequency which is different from the AC voltage signal originally applied.
