PS/5-17761/1+2/+ Compositions for protecting plants from diseases Novel benzo- 1,2,3-thiadiazole derivatives of the formula (I), in which R1, R2 and R3 independently of one another are hydrogen, halogen, methyl, methoxy or methylthio; A is -OR4, -SR4, -N(R5)R6, -N(R7)-N(R5)R6, -O-N=C(R8)R9, -N(R7)-OR10, or R4 is hydrogen or one molar equivalent of a metal ion or of a protonated organic base, C1-C18alkyl, C3-C35alkyl which is interrupted by an oxygen or sulfur atom, C1-C8alkyl which is substituted by halogen or -COOR7, C3-C6alkenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C3-C6alkinyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C4-C7cycloalkyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen or methyl, an aryl or heterocyclic radical U having not more than 3 heteroatoms O, N and/or S, or a radical U which is linked via an alkylene bridge containing not more than 6 carbon atoms and up to 2 oxygen atoms; U is phenyl, phenoxyphenyl, biphenyl or 1- or 2-naphthyl, each of which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C1-C3alkyl or C1-C4alkoxy, or a saturated or unsaturated 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic radical V which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more substituents from the group comprising halogen, C1-C3alkyl and/orCl-C3alkoxy; R5 and R6 independently of one another are hydrogen, Cl-C8alkyl, Cl-C6alkyl which is substituted by Cl-C3alkoxy and/or cyano, or C3-C6alkenyl, C3-C6alkinyl, C3-C7cycloalkyl, a radical U or a radical U which is linked via an alkylene bridge containing not more than 2 C atoms; or R5 and R6, together with the nitrogen atom, are a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic radical W which is unsubstituted or substituted by methyl and has not more than 2 further heteroatoms O, N and/or S; R7 is hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl; R8 and R9 independently of one another are hydrogen, C1-C6alkyl, cyano, CONH2, CONHCONHR7, or phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C1-C3alkyl or Cl-C3alkoxy; or, together with the connecting carbon atom, are also a 5- to 7-membered carbocyclic radical; and R10 is hydrogen, Cl-C6alkyl, C3-C6alkenyl, C5-C7cycloalkyl, phenyl or benzyl. The novel active substances have plant protection properties and are particularly suitable for preventive protection of plants against attack by phytopathogenic microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria and viruses.
