PURPOSE:To provide the subject apparatus capable of achieving high causticizing ratio and improved white liquor clarifying ratio and liquid recovery rate, having compact overall size and capable of finishing the reaction in a short time by supplying a main body of a causticizing tank with green liquor from the bottom and with quick lime from the top. CONSTITUTION:The objective apparatus is composed of a main body 1 of a vertical causticizing tank, a quick lime charging port 2 at the top of an upper part of the main body 1, a white liquor-discharging strainer 3 under the charging port 2, a white liquor outlet port 4 connected to the strainer 3, a green liquor charging port 9 at the top of a lower part of the main body and a lime mud discharging port 10 at the bottom of the lower part. The quick lime moves downward and the green liquor moves upward in the main body 1. |
