PURPOSE: Preventing structure of bubbles for a drum washing machine is provided to prevent bubbles in a tub from being infiltrated to a detergent box through inlet bellows by closing the inlet bellows with a rubber plug in lifting a float on bubbles, and to prevent wrong operation and noise by minimizing contact of the rubber plug and the guide rib in lifting the float and the rubber plug. CONSTITUTION: A bubble shutoff system of a washing machine comprises inlet bellows(22) connected to a discharge port of a detergent box and a support port(7) of a tub(6) to guide detergent or water into the tub; a float(24) lifting up by bubbles charged in the support port of the tub; a rubber plug(26) arranged in the upper part of the float to close the inlet bellows in lifting up the float; and plural guide ribs(28) protruded in the inner periphery of the supply port of the tub to guide the float, and stepped to fit the edge of the rubber plug in moving down the float and the rubber plug. Water or detergent from the inlet bellows is guided between the rubber plug and the support port to prevent water or detergent from staying on the rubber plug with forming the convex portions in the upper parts of the float and the rubber plug. |
