PURPOSE: A twin tub washing machine is provided to prevent slip of a belt transmitting power between a washing motor and a pulsator by restricting motion of the center of a washing tub and a dehydrating tub from the gap in flowing water into the washing tub with installing a connecting member in the lower parts of the tubs, and to reduce noise and vibration by operating the dehydrating container normally. CONSTITUTION: A twin tub washing machine comprises a washing tub(54) installed in a case for washing and rinsing; a washing motor(62) installed in the lower part of the washing tub to rotate a pulsator installed in the washing tub; a pulley and a belt(67) transmitting rotational force from the washing motor to the pulsator; a dehydrating tub(56) having a dehydrating container(60) connected to the side of the washing tub for dehydrating; a dehydrating motor(64) installed in the lower part of the dehydrating tub to rotate the dehydrating container; and a connecting member(80) connecting the lower parts of the washing tub and the dehydrating tub to restrict the washing tub from being spaced from the dehydrating tub in supplying water to the washing tub. |
