PURPOSE:To exactly estimate the signal source in a brain which is a source for generating cerebral magnetic fields in accordance with the three-dimensional coordinate data on the head surface and to easily execute calculation. CONSTITUTION:The cerebral magnetic fields generated by exciting one or plural coils arranged on the head surface are detected by using a cerebral magnetic field measuring instrument for which many superconducting quantum interference fluxmeters and the three-dimensional coordinate data of the head surface is extracted. As a result, the three-dimensional central position of an compatible sphere is calculated and is systematically and uniquely determined. This compatible sphere is assumed to be a uniform conductor sphere model and the analysis solution of the magnetic fields generated from a current dipole as a signal source is determined by calculation. The evaluation of the estimation of the three-dimensional positions, three-dimensional directions and intensity of the signal source is executed at every operation by operating the parameters of the current dipole. |
