<p>PURPOSE:To suitably control a time division by two divisions and four divisions or time division print by two divisions, three divisions and four divisions in a thermal print head having many heat generating dots and to easily manufacture the various heads having different sizes. CONSTITUTION:The number of bits of a drive IC 7 for driving heat generating dots in charge of predetermined number is set to the multiple of 8 of 48 or more as the divisor of 1/4 of the entire number of the dots or the multiple of 8 of 48 or more as the common divisor of 1/4 and 1/3 of the entire number of the dots in a thermal print head l having a predetermined number of heat generating dots. 3, 4, 6, 12 or 14 of the ICs 7 in which the number of output bits is set to 144 are used to constitute the various type heads 1.</p> |
