The drawer comprises a retaining plate (1) which is connected to a fastening element (3) of the vehicle interior via elastic cables. The cables are located near the periphery of the retaining plate. The fastening element has a recess (4) for receiving the retaining plate. The depth of the recess is equal to that of the retaining plate, such that the retaining plate is flush with the outer surface (13) of the fastening element.
