PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an appliance main body thin and at the same time provide good appearance by preventing shrinkage at the time of molding. SOLUTION: This lighting system is provided with a case main body 1 of a thin type box-like shape having a light transmissive aperture 1c in the front side, a light guiding plate 2 which is stored in the deep side of the light transmissive aperture 1c of the case main body 1 and has a lamp 6 on the opposite to at least one end face side in order to emit light rays coming out of the one end face side to the light transmissive aperture 1c side, and approximately cylindrical batteries 5 stored in the side of the light guiding plate 2 in the case main body 1 to supply electric power to the lamp 6. In this case, a cover-like body 1d is attached to the back side of the storage part of the case main body 1 for the battery 5 in a freely detachable way and groove-like apertures 1g with a narrower width than the diameter of the batteries 5 are formed in the cover-like body 1d and the batteries 5 are so stored in the case main body 1 as to be fitted in the groove-like apertures 1g. |
