<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for manual scrolling operation on a side where input to and selection of a screen are operated and to easily handle a large image on a portable information terminal having a small screen by scrolling up and down and displaying the screen by the movement of fingers of a hand holding the terminal. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal 101 of such size and weight that it can easily be held in one hand is held in the left hand 104 by putting the left-hand thumb on the left-side flank of the portable information terminal 101, the left-hand index finger and middle finger on the upper flank, and the ring finger and little finger on the right-side flank. An up/down scroll dial 102 is arranged at the position of the thumb and a right/left scroll dial 103 is arranged at the position of the index finger. While the portable information terminal 101 is held in the left hand, the dial 102 is rotated with the thumb to scroll the screen vertically and the dial 103 is rotated with the left-hand index finger or middle finger to scroll the screen to the right and left. Then data are inputted with a pen in the right hand.</p> |
