PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cell isolation solution of capable of stably isolating a nerve cell in excellent reproducibility, useful for a pharmacological test, toxicity etc., comprising an enzyme solution, a dispersion and a removing solution for obtaining a cell isolated from a nerve cell. SOLUTION: This solution comprises an enzyme solution obtained by formulating a papain with a deoxyribonuclease, a dispersion formulated with a deoxyribonuclease and a papain inhibitor such as antipapain, etc., and a removing solution formulated with albumin to obtain a cell isolated from a nerve cell. The enzyme solution, the dispersion and the removing solution are obtained by formulating a Hanks' balanced salt solution with 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1 piperazineethanesulfonic acid. Preferably a nerve cell is treated with an enzyme at 2-10 deg.C by using the solution of the isolated cell to isolate the cell.
