The cell has a number of pairs of electrodes separated by separators, the electrode plates (1,2) provided with current lugs (3) defined by notches (4) in the top or bottom edges of the electrode plate. The current tags are formed as flexible tongues extending parallel to the adjacent edge of the electrode plate, with respective terminal poles (6) coupled to all electrode plates with the same polarity.
