SUBSTANCE: line has barking block 1 for removing and grinding of bark, chopping machine 2 adapted for grinding wood into woodchips and positioned behind barking block 1, and device for separating chips from chip and bark mixture. Barking cutter 10 of barking block 1 is equipped with supporting blade 11 positioned for stripping bark and abutting against tree surface for depth sufficient to simultaneously cut by barking cutter of bark and wood layer of predetermined thickness. Line of such construction is preferably used for working and commercial usage of low trees. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified construction. 9 cl, 7 dwg
