FIELD EMISSION DISPLAY AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A field emission display using funnel and manufacturing method thereof is provided to simplify the process by making funnel with castings strongly and adhering upper and lower substrate, and manufacturing and using exhaust hole of funnel in a slender tube type. CONSTITUTION: A lower substrate installation groove(102), threshold(103) to be pasted with sealing material, funnel(100) of rectangular drum type including exhaust hole(105) and field emitter to be installed at lower substrate installation groove(102) are formed in lower substrate(200). Anode electrode to be adhered at the top of upper substrate and phosphor are formed in upper substrate(207). Funnel(100) includes sealing material to be pasted to seal threshold of funnel(100) and girth and both side of lower substrate(200). Material of above funnel is glass. Getter is installed at the lower surface of above funnel inside. And funnel is made by molding method.
