<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a reaction gas to be well supplied to a catalyst layer and to sufficiently supply vapor to an electrolyte and drain generated water. <P>SOLUTION: With the gas diffusion member equipped with gas permeability and conductivity with its one side adjacent to a catalyst layer of a fuel cell and the other side adjacent to a conductive member having a gas flow channel, and supplying the reaction gas from the gas flow channel to the catalyst layer, a hole part having a larger gas permeability than a base material of the gas diffusion member is fitted from the conductive member side toward the catalyst layer side. Further, the catalyst layer is provided at a side contrary to side adjacent to the conductive member of the gas diffusion member in the gas diffusion electrode, and the fuel cell is made with the use of the gas diffusion member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
