PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar stock having a special cross section and a straightening method by which the bar stock having the special cross section whose strain is reduced is manufactured, also the bar stock having special cross section which is bad in internal stress distribution is discriminated by executing tests under a certain condition, made to be hard to generate deformation even when working such as stamping is executed and the strain is reduced by executing a proper straightening operation to the bar stock having the special cross section. SOLUTION: In the bar stock 1 having the special cross section which has a cross sectional shape in which one or more places of thick parts 3 and thin parts 2 are formed along the width direction of the bar stock by rolling work and the cross-sectional shape is uniformly continuously formed in the longitudinal direction of the bar stock, the bar stock having the special cross section is defined as the ratio H1/H2 of the hardness H1 in the thin part of the bar stock to the hardness H2 in the thick part is 0.9-1.15. |
