PRINTING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MINIMIZING SHIFT OF HUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform color ink jet printing of high quality without exerting adverse effect on a printing speed and cost. SOLUTION: In an ink jet printer, a plurality of printing heads 108 are used in a bidirectional single pass mode so as to deposit ink liquid droplets 401 in the same order to form a synthetic color regardless of the movement of the printing heads from the right to the left and from the left to the right. Each of the respective printing heads 108 has a symmetric axis wherein many pairs of arrays of ink discharge nozzles are arranged mutually almost in parallel. Each pair of nozzle array discharge ink liquid droplets 401 of a specific color and are symmetrically arranged with respect to the symmetric axis.
