PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication device which inexpensively easily notifies a called user of what kind of caller is calling in the call termination. SOLUTION: The communication device checks whether a calling ID is reported from the line when there is an incoming call and outputs a ringing sound 1 indicating that the calling ID is not reported from the line in such a case. Further, when the calling ID is reported from the line, the communication device checks whether the calling ID is matched with a telephone number previously registered in a registration memory as the telephone number of an opposite party who need not to be confirmed and outputs a ringing sound 2 indicating that the caller's number needs to be confirmed when the calling ID is not registered, but outputs a ringing sound indicating that the caller's number need not be confirmed when the caller's number is already registered in the registration memory (steps S101 to S106).
