FILTER STRUCTURE FOR FUEL PUMP

PURPOSE: A filter configuration of fuel pump is provided to achieve in-advance prevention against failure of turbine pump or engine by perfectly filtering foreign substances contained in the fuel. CONSTITUTION: A filter(1) configuration for filtering the fuel prior to entering a fuel pump, comprises a nylon mesh(10) fixed to an end of a turbine pump and which surrounds an outer periphery of the filter and is woven by 135 to 150 meshes so as to firstly filter off foreign substances, a filter cloth(30) arranged within the filter and which is woven by 30 to 32 micron so as to secondly filter off fine substances contained in the fuel, and a cloth(31) arranged within the filter and between a shape maintaining member(20) and the filter cloth and which prevents the contents of the filter cloth from being absorbed into the turbine pump disposed within a reservoir. The filter has at an interior thereof the shape maintaining member(20) for forming a predetermined space.
