SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING POSITION INFORMATION UTILIZING ARTIFICIAL SATELLITES

PURPOSE: A system and a method are provided to allow a user to easily check and use the information in real time by parsing and directly storing the GPS data received through artificial satellites into a database, and allowing the GPS data to be displayed onto a web browser map of user. CONSTITUTION: A system comprises a user web browser(10) for requesting position tracking for a moving object(50); an artificial satellite(40) and a satellite base station(30) for transmitting and receiving GPS data for the moving object; and an operator system(20) for receiving and transmitting through a mail the GPS data received at the satellite base station, storing the mail in IMAP(Internet message access protocol) into a database, and providing position information to the user web browser using Java servlet and Java applet.
