PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation support device and a navigation support method for further improving safety by informing a warning by adding restriction by ETOPS. SOLUTION: A database part 12 stores application time of the ETOPS related to a corresponding aircraft by adding data on the nearest airport for allowing taking off and landing, and reads out this ETOPS application time, for example, when entering a cruising mode. An area of a radius r calculated from this ETOPS application time is set as a flyable area of the aircraft to calculate whether or not the aircraft deviates from this area by an operation part 11. A determination is made on whether or not a position of the aircraft deviates from the flyable area, and at deviating time, the effect of 'a warning' is displayed on a display part 13. Even if the aircraft does not deviate, when there is the possibility of deviation, the effect of 'attention' is displayed on the display part 13.
