An electric connector is provided to contact a male terminal to a receptacle terminal at upper and lower sides in a height direction of a plug by installing contact parts at upper and lower sides of the male connector, thereby improving reliability in contact between the male connector and the receptacle terminal. A casing has a rectangular shape. The first housing has a fit part projected in a fit direction from the casing to an opposite connector. The first shell covers a periphery of the casing. The first terminal is placed at the fit part. The first terminal has an upper contact part(81), a lower contact part(82) and a connection part of a cable core wire. The upper contact part and the lower contact part are formed at upper and lower sides of a front end of the first terminal, respectively. The connection part is formed at a rear end of the first terminal. Distance from the upper contact part to the connection part is substantially equal to distance from the lower contact part to the connection part.
