PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism which disposes multi-points at desired locations, and enables the respective points to perform a proper movement, and further to provide a robot which can respond to needs in various fields by using such a mechanism. SOLUTION: The offset articulated robot having the branch arm mechanism employs such a composition that double branch articulated units, wherein one arm is connected with a plurality of arms each enabling an independent movement, are connected in multiple stages. In the multiple branch articulated unit, the tip of a base arm rotatably supports a pedestal, and the pedestal has a mechanism for supporting the plurality of arms rotatable around the shaft different from the direction of the rotary shaft.
