PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding torch assembly which can be adequately used as a torch for the MIG welding or the TIG welding without changing a torch body. SOLUTION: In the welding torch assembly A1, a welding torch 2 is stored in an outer cylindrical nozzle 1 for ejecting a shield gas. The welding torch 2 comprises a torch body 21 having a wire feed passage 21a inside, a chip body 24 which is mounted on a front end of the torch body 21 while a wire feed hole 24a connected to the wire feed passage 21a is longitudinally penetrated through the torch body, and a power supply chip 26 which is attachably/detachably mounted on a front end of the chip body 24.
