PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a device for driving the same are provided to minimize image data transmission between a timing controller and a data driver, thereby reducing consumption power in switching image data. CONSTITUTION: The first memory(51) stores n-first image data inputted before. The second memory(52) stores nth image data currently inputted. A comparator(53) compares the n-first image data with the nth image data, and selectively outputs the nth image data according to a result of the comparison. A counter(54) counts the frequency that the nth image data equal to the n-first image data are continuously inputted. A control unit(55) provides the nth image data output from the comparator to a data driver. |
