The recording control device which controls recording devices each having two heads comprises control interfaces connected to two medium interfaces provided in each of the recording devices so as to correspond to the two heads, respectively, and a control means for selecting at least one head according to processing statuses of respective heads of the recording devices acquired via the control interfaces and transmitting a processing request from the control interface connected to the medium interface corresponding to the selected head to the selected head.
