PURPOSE: An array substrate for a transflective liquid crystal display and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to remove a reflection area and expand a transmissive mode, thereby increasing brightness in the case of the transmissive mode. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of gate lines(104) are parallel formed on an insulating substrate(100) in one direction. A plurality of data lines(116) cross the plurality of gate lines for defining pixel areas(P). A plurality of thin film transistors(T) are formed at cross points of the gate lines and the data lines. A plurality of convex patterns(126) are irregularly formed on the pixel areas and an opaque metal is deposited on surfaces of the convex patterns. A transparent electrode(130) is connected with the thin film transistors, and is formed on the pixel areas except the areas where the convex patterns are formed. |
