The present disclosure relates generally to methods of treating infections in overweight or obese patients using antibiotics. According to statistics compiled by National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in 2009-2010, 35.7% of adults in the United States were found to be obese.
