<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system improving endurance reliability by preventing heat deterioration of a system interior and chemical deterioration due to carbon monoxide. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system produces hydrogen-rich reformed gas from fuel for reforming, and it has a fuel cell 4 generating power by using the produced reformed gas as fuel. It is provided with a residual reformed gas purging means for eliminating reformed gas remaining in a system interior by sending cleaning gas into the system interior after stoppage of power generation operation in a direction opposite to a flow direction of the reformed gas during the power generation operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
