The present invention relates to a method of producing upconversion nanophosphors, comprising the steps of: synthesizing an upconversion phosphors to produce a target; and soaking the target in liquid while irradiating a pulsed laser to a surface of the target to produce upconversion nanophosphors. The method has an effect of producing the upconversion nanophosphors having a nanoscale size and a uniform spherical shape as the pulsed laser is irradiated to the upconversion phosphors target while the same is soaked in the liquid. Moreover, the method has an effect of producing a colloid suspension in which the upconversion nanophosphors is uniformly dispersed without the use of surfactants.
