The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a water treatment coagulant having improved capability of eliminating fluoride and a water treatment coagulant manufactured by using the method, in which first aluminum chloride is prepared through a reaction of aluminum hydroxide with a hydrochloric acid at a predetermined ratio, and in which second aluminum chloride is prepared as a water treatment coagulant through mixture and reaction of the first aluminum chloride with aluminum sulfate at a predetermined ratio under an appropriate condition, thereby improving capability of eliminating fluoride. For this purpose, the method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) composing a first mixture by mixing 100 parts by weight of aluminum hydroxide (Al (OH)_3) with 220 to 310 parts by weight of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and 12 to 92.5 parts by weight of water; (b) preparing aluminum chloride through a reaction of the first mixture, composed at step (a), under a predetermined temperature condition; (c) composing a second mixture by mixing the aluminum chloride prepared at step (b) with aluminum sulfate and water (H_2O) having 2 to 25 parts by weight and 4 to 145 parts by weight, respectively, with respect to the previously introduced 100 parts by weight of aluminum hydroxide (Al (OH)_3); and (d) preparing aluminum chloride in a stable state by enabling the second mixture composed at step (c) to react while being stirred under a predetermined temperature condition and thus completing combination of sulfate ions in the aluminum chloride. |
