PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article manufacturing method for elaborating on a continuous sheet, cutting-failure prevention positions capable of preventing cutting failure of an elastic member and shred piece prevention positions capable of preventing production of shred pieces of the elastic member.SOLUTION: The absorbent article manufacturing method includes: conveying a continuous sheet that is fixed to an area corresponding to a high-stretchable area in a state where a plurality of elastic members 27s continuing in a prescribed direction in a stretched state are aligned in a CD direction crossing with the prescribed direction, with the prescribed direction defined as a conveyance direction; and cutting the plurality of elastic members at one portions in the conveyance direction respectively in an area corresponding to a low-stretchable area. The absorbent article manufacturing method includes: a first position where cutter blades C adjoined in the CD direction are continuously juxtaposed, and a second position where the cutter blades are discontinuously juxtaposed. The dimension in the CD direction of gaps S between the cutter blades discontinuously juxtaposed at the second position is formed smaller than a minimum value of a center-to-center distance LB27s in the CD direction of the elastic members adjoined in the CD direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
