The invention relates to a tool (1) for removing chips from a workpiece (7), wherein the tool (1) comprises a basic body (2) that is rotatable about a tool axis (a), and at least one deswarfing element (4) that extends substantially in a radial direction and protrudes from the basic body (2), and that is releasably connected to the basic body (2). The invention further relates to a method for removing chips from a workpiece, which is designed as a hollow wheel. In case of an eccentric arrangement and opposite directions of rotation of tool and workpiece, the chips are detected and transported off by the deswarfing element. |
