PURPOSE:To easily adjust the color level of an autoradiograph by dividing the gradations of a variable density picture corresponding to the intensity of the radiation radiated from a radioactive labelled material in accordance with preliminarily set minimum and maximum color levels. CONSTITUTION:After a sample including the radioactive labelled material is superposed on an accumulative type fluorescent material to store the radiation energy in the sheet, the sheet is scanned with a laser beam to allow the stimulated light to be emitted, and a photodetector is used to obtain a digital signal having n-number of gradations corresponding to the autoradiograph. A minimum value l0 and a maximum value lk (for example, l6) of color levels which are thresholds to segment individual colors are substituted into an equation to determine respective remainder levels li, and the intensities of n-number of gradations of the autoradiograph are substituted with corresponding of the autoradiograph are substituted with corresponding colors. This autoradiograph is displayed as a (k+2)-color color picture.
|
