Supported by a baseplate (11) is a rectangular section tube (10) forming a column with a lamp inside the top (30). Below the lamp is a weatherproof compartment containing a sound reproducing device, such as a radio with a cassette recorder. Below this compartment is a rear opening (12) for mounting purposes, which can be fitted with a cover. The lamp is a vertical fluorescent tube, the light being reflected by mirrors and passing through openings (31) at the sides and front. The controls (21) for the sound system are protected by a hinged flap (23) and at each side are sound emitting openings (22). A fuse box for the light and sound equipment is incorporated. USE - Device can be installed on e.g. terrace.
