<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder in which the ejection quantity of a liquid drop being ejected from an inkjet nozzle is controlled with a high precision by forming a micro liquid drop smaller than the nozzle diameter. <P>SOLUTION: A driving means imparts a first deformation of holding period t1 with a voltage v1 for applying a preliminary pressure by inflating the inner volume to an ink channel, imparts a second deformation of holding period t2 with a voltage v2 for applying an ejection pressure by contracting the inner volume of the ink channel, and imparts a third deformation of a voltage v3 for limiting the volume of ejecting ink by inflating the inner volume of the ink channel. Absolute voltage levels satisfy a relation v1:v2:v3=1:2:2 and the holding periods satisfy a relation t1=L/c, t2<L/c in the driving (where, L is the length of the ink channel, and c is the velocity of an ink pressure wave in the channel). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
