FULL-COLOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool the scanner motor of the optical scanning device of a full-color printer without affecting other units such as developing units.

SOLUTION: The optical scanning device in the full-color printer is covered with a case. The upper portion of the drive motor of the rotary polygon mirror in the case is further covered with an inner lid to insulate it. A cooling fin projecting beyond a case external part is brought into contact with a metal housing that has the optical scanning device attached thereto, thereby releasing heat and efficiently dissipating the heat of the drive motor. In addition, a metal plate spring is disposed between the cooling fin and the metal housing that has the optical scanning device attached thereto, thus conducting heat to the metal housing to cool.
