<p>PURPOSE: To make separating cross-pieces movable or unmovable by equipping a chain element that is composed of two parallel chain side plates, cross plates for connecting these side plates and separating cross-pieces between the cross plates, with holding members in which the separating cross-pieces have the same length as depth of a ditch of the cross plates in its upper and lower ends. CONSTITUTION: A chain element 1 is composed of two chain side plates 2, 3 that are interconnected by a spaced parallel cross plates 4, 5, and a pin 11 is arranged in a concave 10 of a holding member 9 of a rotary coupling 7. Ditches 14 having plural holes 15 are arranged in the cross plates 4, 5, and the pin 11 is fit into the hole 15 while the cross plate 5 is fit into the holding member 9. A separating cross-piece 16 is arranged between the cross plates 4, 5, and pins 18 for fitting into the hole 15 are installed in U shaped holding pieces 17 in its two ends, and length of the pin 18 corresponds to the depth of the ditch 14. While installing the cross plates 4, 5 with the ditch 14 facing inward, the separating cross-piece 16 is movable along the longitudinal direction of the cross plates 4, 5. On the other hand, as the pin 18 is fit into the hole 15 while the ditch 14 facing outward, the separating cross-piece 16 is unmovable. Therefore, various applicable possibilities are realized.</p> |
