PURPOSE:To extend the battery service life by optimizing an intermittent reception operating timing so as to reduce an average current consumption in the receiver implementing intermittent reception operation. CONSTITUTION:A reception operation rising time measurement section 105 measures an operation rising time of a radio section 102 at the start of reception. A reception operation control section 104 decides an optimum intermittent reception operation timing based on the operation rising time and sends an intermittent reception operation signal to a stabilizing power supply section 106 at the timing. As a result, the radio section 102 reduces the average current consumption for the intermittent operation in the optimum timing to extend the service life of the battery. |
