PURPOSE:To provide a white balance correcting device capable of obtaining the video signals of a natural color tone. CONSTITUTION:The camera 16 of a video telephone is provided with a CCD image pickup part 161 and a white balance adjusting circuit 162 and television signals from the white balance adjusting circuit 162 are converted to digital picture data by a D/A conversion part 36. A central processing part 31 realizes a picture dividing means, a block specifying means and a comparing means. The picture data are divided into plural blocks by the picture dividing means and in the block specifying means, the block for which a specific object is photographed within the plural blocks is outputted as the specified block. The picture data of the specified block are compared with preset set value data at the comparing means and when a compared result is remarkably different from the set value data, a correction signal for correcting white balance to an appropriate value is formed. |
